Google Checkout is closing down from November 2013 and moving the existing digital merchants to Google Wallet and recommending physical merchants to move to Braintree, Shopify and Freshbooks with discounts. Google Wallet is not a new product; it underwent some changes to serve its new users coming from Google Checkout.
